Gnolls are much too small to be a cross of gnomes and trolls, so in our game they are goblins crossed with a small variation of the troll kind. Our gnome and troll cross is known as tromes and will appear later in this thread.
Sorry the tables in that thread are so messed up only part of the people could read them even back in 2007. I can not fix them now since I was banned from Dragonsfoot (a common thing that happens as that site continues to become less and less old school).
The point being that I posted about Tromes being a troll and gnome cross back on Sunday, April 1st, 2007. But never got back to finish the posting of Tromes which have been in use IMC for over 40 years at this point. However, I found this over on Jeff's Gameblog dated Monday, February 09,2009 - a Trome is a half-troll, half-gnome. He does not go into any details; however, it looks like he is classing it as a 3rd level monster. I am curious if he got it based on my post or not.
Trome - troll - gnome cross - regenerate at half the rate of trolls but are much smarter and IMC they are an 8th level monster.
